News Updates...

Many apologies for the lack of updates. It doesn't mean, I've totally forgot the site. It's just, I'm in the midst of planning for v2.0. I've found that just the planning itself can be so thought consuming. But I'm sure holding off the coding until the plans are set will save me much more time in the long run and avoid such drastic changes in the future once v2.0 is out.

I got another email from SiteBurg.com (finally) indicating that they unblocked my site. So... HURRAY! The Photography section is back up and running (with the slight difference of a large white banner slightly breaking the flow of the design). I figure, it's better having this than nothing at all.

I just got an email from SiteBurg.com saying they temporarily blocked my site due to ToS violation. I supposedly hid their advertisement banners (I just moved it to the bottome of the page and resized it to fit the deisgn). Bleh! This means the photography section will be down temporarily. Many apologies.

Finally, the photography section is now up and running! Made from scratch using purely PHP. However, it's on the siteburg host. I've yet some improvements in mind.

Transferred another copy of this website to Siteburg, a lovely hosting site that provides features I'm looking for such as PHP and MySQL support. The only setback is that stupid banner that gets stuck in the middle of all the code. The BOL site should still be accessible. And oh yeah, mavince.says.it still works. So feel free to use that URL when in doubt.

In the contacts section, I've taken the liberty of using BOL's cgi script for sending an email through the site. Sadly, I can't use much other stuff other than what they provide. Perhaps I'll look for another place to host this place that provides me with more... and for free. =P

All the links are now, for the most part, pretty much up and running now. However, I still need to figure out how to ideally implement the photography section. In the meantime, I'll just link you to my deviantArt.

After finally hacking (not the good hacking) through some more CSS and HTML, I've managed to get some stability with the overall look. Journal and News section is now active.

Wow, finally. I never thought I would be able to get the CSS working somewhat. It's quite annoying how IE and Firefox handles positioning and dimensions differently. Oh well, if you have some tips in helping things look more right, feel free to contact me.

Hurray, I'm actually making a site now instead of lazying out for all these years with iframes merely linking to my deviantArt and Xanga. It's far from perfect, but I guess this'll have to do for now. I just wish BOL would provide PHP and mySQL so I can make it more dynamic. Oh well...
